Ms. Stevie Clark

Ms. Stevie grew up in Heber and Park City, Utah, and graduated from the University of Utah in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Her teaching career began in a dojo, where she worked as a karate instructor and earned her black belt, an experience that sparked an early love for teaching, mentoring, and helping others build confidence.

Shortly after graduating, Ms. Stevie discovered the Montessori method and fell in love with its philosophy. She began her Montessori career at Soaring Wings Montessori School in Park City, Utah, where she spent five years teaching, learning, and growing alongside children in the classroom. She earned her American Montessori Society Early Childhood credential in 2009 and her Master’s Degree in Education in 2014, all while continuing her work as a Montessori educator.

After completing her time at Soaring Wings, Ms. Stevie became a director at the American International School of Utah, where she consulted on and led the school’s Montessori program for children from preschool through second grade. The experience gave her the opportunity to expand beyond the classroom and into school leadership, supporting teachers, developing programs, and thinking more deeply about what it takes to create an educational environment where both children and adults can thrive.

Throughout those years, her belief in Montessori only grew stronger. Ms. Stevie believes the Montessori method empowers both teachers and students to know what they stand for, trust who they are, and confidently claim their uniqueness.

Eventually, life began pulling her back toward the community where she had grown up. The daily commute to Salt Lake City was no longer the life she had envisioned for herself, and around this time, she met her husband, Paul. They married and soon learned they were expecting their first child, Scotty. Becoming a mother brought an entirely new perspective to her work in education. Montessori wasn't simply a method she believed in professionally; it was the kind of environment and lifestyle she wanted her own daughter to grow up in.

That realization ultimately became part of the heart behind Thriving Day Academy: creating the kind of school she wanted for her own child while sharing the gifts of Montessori with families throughout Wasatch County.

Today, Ms. Stevie has the honor of bringing her years of experience as a Montessori teacher, school leader, consultant, and parent to the TDA community. She continues to believe that children thrive when they are known, trusted, challenged, and given the freedom to become themselves fully.

When she’s not pouring her heart into the school, Ms. Stevie loves skiing, running, hiking, camping, and just about anything that gets her outdoors with Paul, Scotty, and their family!
