Ms. Katie Sharp Bavasi
Ms. Katie grew up in nearby Park City, Utah, before setting out on adventures that took her to Washington and California. During this time, she studied biomechanics and worked with people of all ages and abilities to help them better understand their bodies and move more efficiently and safely. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in kinesiology, blending her academic studies with hands-on work in human movement and health.
After several years away, she and her husband returned to Utah to raise their family and support his career as a firefighter with the West Valley Fire Department. Together they are the proud parents of two children, Ani (5) and Wyatt (3).
For the past three years, Miss [Name] has worked as a Lead Montessori Guide and holds her teaching credential through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS). She is excited to bring her experience, knowledge, and love of Montessori education to Thriving Day Academy, where she will be serving as a Co-Teacher in the Honeybees Classroom and as an Assistant in the Fox Den Classroom.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and looks forward to building new connections within the TDA community.
